The Moms Cooperative recognizes that from time to time, members may experience unforeseen financial hardship that could potentially jeopardize their ability to maintain their membership. In acknowledgment of such circumstances and in commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community, The Moms Cooperative offers a limited number of dues waivers to eligible members facing difficult economic situations.

 

This program is designed to provide temporary financial relief, allowing members to remain connected during challenging times. It is important to note that due to the limited nature of available waivers, certain eligibility criteria and conditions apply to ensure equitable distribution of this support.

 

Key Aspects of the Dues Waiver Program:

  • Eligibility: Dues waivers are exclusively available to individuals who are currently active members in good standing with The Moms Cooperative. New applicants or former members seeking reinstatement are not eligible for a dues waiver.

  • Limitation: To ensure the sustainability of the program and the ability to assist as many members as possible, each member is eligible to receive a dues waiver for a maximum duration equivalent to one membership cycle throughout the entire course of their membership with The Moms Cooperative. Members who have previously received a dues waiver are not eligible for subsequent waivers.

  • Application Process: Members experiencing financial difficulties who wish to apply for a dues waiver are required to submit a formal request to the board members of The Moms Cooperative. This request should clearly articulate the member's current economic circumstances and the reasons necessitating the need for a dues waiver. Supporting documentation may be requested to facilitate the review process.

  • Review and Approval: All applications for dues waivers will be carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the information provided by the applicant and the availability of waivers at the time of application. The final decision regarding the approval of a dues waiver rests with the board members of The Moms Cooperative.

  • Confidentiality: All information provided by members in their dues waiver applications will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will only be used for the purpose of evaluating the request.

The Moms Cooperative is committed to supporting its members through various means, and the dues waiver program serves as one avenue to ensure that financial constraints do not become an insurmountable barrier to participation for valued members facing temporary hardship. Members who believe they may qualify for a dues waiver are encouraged to inquire about the application process through the appropriate channels within The Moms Cooperative.During the year of the dues waiver, members retain full membership privileges in the organization. Applications should be submitted to the Moms Cooperative Board BEFORE the members dues are due.
